Ophthalmology

The department of ophthalmology offers a wide range of outpatient, surgical and tertiary services for diseases of eye and surroundings structures. We offer all eye services from routine examination, spectacle prescription to management of all sub specialties in ophthalmology. We also provide 24 hours casualty services.

It is worth mentioning that ophthalmology department is rendering all types of therapeutic ophthalmic service including surgical to the community on a comparatively charitable nature. Cataract surgery is done free of cost at our hospital.

We provide diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical expertise in sub specialties like Cornea, Glaucoma, Retina, Squint, Neuro ophthalmology, Oculoplasty, and disease of orbit. We also offer the ancillary services in eye care from non contact tonometry, Visual field testing, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography & Optical Coherence Tomography. The department also undertakes community ophthalmology activities for the effective implementation of National Blindness Control Program. We conduct seminars and discussions, case presentations and symposia apart from
routine outpatient clinics and ophthalmic surgeries.
